“Tonight’s varsity match was a fun one to watch,” said King’s head coach Michael Tongg.

The girls opened the match up with great energy and seemed to be playing as a unit, with an intensity that pleased the coaching staff.  “Feeding off one another’s energy is key,” said Tongg and against the Wildcats, that was on display and contributed to the win.

Brooklyn Nielson had a good night in her serving, and Jael Moore led the team with five Kills.

“I thought we played really great overall,” said Brielle Thompson.  “We really came together as a team, trusted each other, and came through with the win.”

Nielsen said after the match, “I’m very pleased because we came out fired up and ready to play.”  The season is young, but that fire can, if they let it, get even hotter in the weeks to come.
