Sarani Yapa has been a leader for girls’ golf since her freshman year at King. She has always led the team in terms of scores, playing either the first or second position in the lineup for four years. But now, Sarani is leading her team by example, demonstrating the dedication and consistency that defines a four-year varsity athlete, as well as an excellent student, with a 4.12 cumulative weighted GPA. Sarani is also serving on Link Crew this year, offering guidance and support to new students, as she had once received it.

Sarani is planning to play golf in college, which makes our conversations about strategy and technique all the more exciting. Having played in college myself, I know Sarani has the knowledge and passion for the game to excel at the next level. It has been an honor to be her coach, and I look forward to watching her finish her high school career with a bang.
