NORCO: The boys volleyball team got off to a slow start on Friday in their Big VIII match against Norco, but they were able to right the ship and rallied to an eventual victory, 3-2 to move to 4-2 on the season in the league.
“I was frustrated with how we started but really happy to see the guys fight, regroup and pull together as a team,” said head coach Michael Tongg after the victory.
Gio Madott had a fine match as did Rumi Altura. The fourth set was the turning point as the Wolves won 26-24 in a hard fought match and would win the fifth set by a larger margin, 15-7.
“Logan Mckee and Caleb Williams had a no quit attitude,” Tongg said, but “what I hope they all take from this match is we are a team, a family, and what we always need to remember is that we fight for each other and we grow together to get better each and every day.
King is now 14-4 on their season.
