“The girls started on fire tonight,” exclaimed head coach Michael Tongg.  “We were firing on all cylinders.”

They were led by Junior Jael Moore who had 10 kills on the night and was voted by the team as the “Player of the Match.”  She was quick to pass the praise around saying, “Everyone worked really well together and you could fee the fire on the court. Our hours (of practice) are definitely paying off.”

In set 1, Brielle Thompson had 5 aces followed by Brooklyn Nielsen with 4 aces.  “Everything was on point, our passers were giving great passes to our setters who then were able to set any of our hitters. And our hitters were finishing with great kills to win points,” Tongg said.

Zoe Galva pointed at her teammates as well, noting how “Brooklyn had several notable serve receive passes. As well as both our middles (Madison Lenew and Caitlin Kiemele) who got a lot of touches on the block, which we really needed against certain hitters.”

“Teamwork is key,” Brielle Thompson said after the match.

“We are continuing to push the tempo and playing at our speed,” Tongg added.  That pace is leaving any trace of the past far behind.
