WOLVES HANG CLOSE BUT DROP FINALE TO THE CHAMPS

RIVERSIDE: King could not keep up with Big VIII League Champions Norco losing their season finale, 8-4 on Monday.
The game started well for the Wolves, as Senior Jayden Chavez hit a memorable lead off homer. Chavez would close out his career with two hits on the day.
The Wolves tied the game in the top of the fifth thanks to a ground out by Senior Cory Lacher, and a fly out by Junior James Mejia.
Sophomore Austin Acosta took the mound as the starter. He allowed six hits and four runs (three earned) over three and two-thirds innings. Junior Tommy Salter, Sophomore Austin Jones, and Sophomore Oliver Bittner also pitched in the game.
Sophomore Adan Diaz, Lacher, and sophomore Nate Lunetta also had hits.
The Wolves ended the season with a 12-15, 2-13 (Big VIII) record.
