RIVERSIDE:  The Wolves kept their playoff dreams alive by defeating Roosevelt at General Old in the final league match of the season (218-205).

Joshua Lance (11) led the charge with his team-low score of 39 (+3); followed closely by a pair of 40’s from both Chase Slavin (12) and Levi In (9).

Martin Luther King remains tied for first place in the Big VIII League with an 8-2 record. The tie with Santiago High School will be decided by the first nine holes of Tuesday’s league prelims at Temecula Creek Inn.

The team with the lowest 5-man score will be crowned league champs and automatically advance to team CIF.

There will also be six individual spots up for grabs to represent the BIG VIII league in post-season CIF competition.
