The Wolves would add another run in the third with a well executed squeeze play by Thompson to bring home Janai Davis. .
King compiled 11 hits in the game led by Lebsock who was 3-3 and Cobb who finished 2-2. Kenzie Carlone earned the win for the Wolves allowing 5 hits in 4 innings while striking out 6. Freshman Ryder Bishop collected the save throwing 3 innings, giving up 2 hits and striking out 2 and the Wolves would win, 7-4.
As coaches, we are always looking for ways to get better while still acknowledging the good stuff and reminding them how proud we are of them. It has been a fantastic season, we haven’t peaked yet, but now is the time. We have what it takes to finish league strong and make a great playoff run if we can continue to play with one heartbeat, play to the standard, be great teammates and leave it all on the field. Wolves are back in action Friday at Centennial.
