SHARKS ARE TOO MUCH FOR THE WOLVES

RIVERSIDE: The Sharks of Santiago came to town for a Big VIII volleyball match and went home having given their host a 3-0 loss, moving the Wolves to 4-3 in the league on a 14-5 season record.
Ezra Martinez had a solid game for the home team, notably in his blocking. Logan McKee, Giovanny Madott and Bradley Mullen were strong on offense but it unfortunately wasn’t enough to stem the Shark attack.
“I was frustrated as we were not focused and we struggled to play together,” said King head coach Michael Tongg. “We are a better team than what showed up last night. We need to focus in practice and get ready for our match against Centennial on Friday.”
Teamwork is key, of course to any sport, Volleyball especially as multiple “touches” is usually required to earn a point in the gam. “We need to fight for our teammates and not against our teammates,” Tongg said.
The team will have the chance to build each other up to be the best they can be” in the quickly shortening season.
“This is part of our philosophy and is what we need to continue to do regardless if we are winning or loosing,” Tongg said.
Good advice. Onward.
