During her time at King, Devan was actively involved in the school community as a four-year member of the Dance and Pom team and serving as captain for two years.  She was also a dedicated member of ASB all four years of her time in high school.

From there, Devan went on to attend California Baptist University, where she was a member of the dance team for the first two years as a Lancer. She graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and in 2026 earned her California teaching credential.

Devan has a strong passion for dance, as well as an appreciation for Disney and film, which continue to inspire her creativity both in and out of the classroom.

Family plays an important role in her life. Her father, Darel Hansen was the principal of ML King High for 5 years and her mom, Kimberly has worked at Martin Luther King High School over the years in a variety of roles.

Devan is one of four kids to the Hansens,  Sydney, Morgan, and Miley are her younger siblings.
