RIVERSIDE:  “We showed up and played as a team tonight!” exclaimed coach Michael Tongg after King defeated Centennial in a Big VIII volleyball match.  The final score was 3-1.

The boys were “hungry” according to Tongg, and they played well. “They showed what they are capable of and how to reconnect with their teammates,” the coache added.

King kep the mistakes to a minimum and had some great action to take their record to 3-2 in the Big VIII

Mahin Hoque was outstanding on the net.

After two successive matches in the league against Santiago and Roosevelt in which the Wolves struggled, this was a great turnaround for the home team. “We had some great practice between those games and tonight so I thought the guys were more fluid in their play and teamwork tonight,” Tongg said.

King’s quality season continues to roll with a 12-4 record.
