RIVERSIDE:  In their home opener, the boys volleyball team continued to build on the momentum established in the early and pre-league season.

Norco of the Big VIII league came up the hill to ML King and the Wolves played really well and won 3-1.

“We worked on our triple blocking,” said King head coach Michael Tongg.  “The guys ran it really well and it was beautiful.”

Jacob Rodgers was key at the net with blocking,” said his teammate Bradley Mullen.  His play made for a momentum shift in the course of the sets.

King is now 2 – 0 in the Big VIII league and 11-2 overall.  “We have shown what we can do and we are still not to where we would like to be,” said Tongg, adding, “the boys are working hard and buying into the program.”
