Alyssa Bian defines excellence in all walks of life. While her success in the pool—as a school record holder, League Champion, and State Finalist—has brought her coaches and teammates great joy, her impact goes far deeper. What truly makes Alyssa a ‘Champion of Character’ is her kindness, her commitment to her academic growth, and her quiet, steady confidence.

She is more than a leader who hopes others will follow; she stands for what is right. As her teacher and others on campus have noted,  she consistently masters the ‘little things’ that lead to big results in her writing and assessments. Currently, Alyssa is demonstrating true advocacy through a Civics Project aimed at creating campus change, bravely engaging with administrators and city leaders, and sharing her vision on our daily broadcast of Good Day MLK. Her joyful personality shines through everything she does, ensuring her legacy at King will extend well beyond the pool deck. We look forward to two more years of watching Alyssa succeed, lead, and support our community.”
