RIVERSIDE:  King hosted the Broncos of Vista Murrieta High on Monday and, despite the final score of 0-3 in the Bronco’s favor, the boys from King played well.

“We had moments of greatness in the back row by our Libero Clyde Zak,” said King head coach Michael Tongg.  “He was in the right place making some amazing digs and saves.”

The Wolves went “toe to toe” in the second set.  “Really proud of the way we played in that those parts of the game,” Tongg said.

With a season record of 3-1, King is off to a good start, but the match also revealed a few weaknesses.  “We learned what we need to work on to be better for the future. Overall we look at this game as a learning experience to be better,” Tongg said, anb then added, “we’ll be encouraging them to continue to be the best they can be on the court as an individual and team player. We are stronger when we are working together.”
