EASTVALE: The Wolves went to Roosevelt looking to repeat the win from last month. The 1st round looked good as the girls went 3-3 and were in a good position for the ultimate goal of victory.

The 2nd round singles did very well, as Senior captain Zoe Zhang and Freshman Adriana Huston won 2 sets each in singles.

But doubles found all teams on the wrong side of a close set, which put MLK 5-7 going into the final round. Singles continued to play well, but doubles just couldn’t win the close sets again. Roosevelt played very well and beat us when it counted.

This is a tough loss for the girls this late in the season, but with a match at home against Norco tomorrow there isn’t time to dwell on the past.
