Miranda Montejo was a four year starter and four year letter winner in girls soccer for the Wolves from 2002- 2005. She was All-League all four years and three time All-CIF as well as Press-Enterprise All-Area Selection of the year. Miranda was a team MVP twice and her leadership helped the Wolves to three League Championships; four trips to the CIF Playoffs; and a trip to the CIF Semifinals in 2003. She was on the Martin Luther King High Honor Roll every semester and graduated with a 4.2 GPA.
From Martin Luther King High School, Miranda earned a scholarship to the University of Nevada -Reno where she starred for another Wolfpack from 2005 – 2008. She would end her career there with 80 games played; 45 career points and 5 game winning goals. She earned All-Western Athletic Conference honors in 2005, 2006 and 2008, making her the only player in UNR history to be a three time All Conference performer. Additionally, she was a three-time choice for the All-WAC Tournament team and was part of the 2006 WAC championship team, making the NCAA tournament. Miranda was a two -time captain for the Wolfpack and was a Scholar-Athlete all four years she was at UNR.
Miranda graduated from UNR with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Health Sciences in 2009 and she earned a Doctorate from Pacific University in Oregon in 2013. After almost a decade in the health industry as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, she has transitioned into a relatively new position as a financial representative of Proverbs Financial in Orange County.
