Born in 1978, Coach Jason McMains’ Riverside roots run deep. He is a graduate of Rubidoux High School and then Cal Baptist University where he earned his degree in 2000 before going on to earn his Masters and Credential in Special Education from National University. Along with head football coaching responsibilities, McMains teaches Special Education at Martin Luther King High School.

After playing baseball and football (Outside linebacker and Running Back) at Rubidoux and then football-only at Riverside Community College, he would eventually return to his alma-mater to be the head coach of the Falcons. He served in that capacity from 2009-2014, then moved to Riverside Christian for two years and from 2019 to 2021 he led the Citrus Hill Hawks.
At those various places, he has led his teams to 3 league titles and was selected three times as the League Coach of the Year. In 2017 and again in 2020, he was the head coach of a two All Star games.

McMains is married to Claudia who teaches Math in Jurupa Unified School District and is the father to three kids, Aaron, 23, Victoria, 19 and 11 year old Brody Darnell. His hobbies include camping, hiking, kayaking and being a “Softball Dad.”
