CORONA:  The boys came alive in their first Big VIII league match of the season last week, as they took to the road to play Corona High.

The vigor and play would give the Wolves a 3-0 win and take them to a 10-2 start to the season.

“They are realizing their potential,” said King head coach Michael Tongg.

They were firing on all cylanders by the third set after a bit of a struggle to find they rhythm in the early going. But Freddy Chao went on a serving run which, in turn, served up momentum that took King to the victory.

Every day we are getting better as individuals and as a whole, the boys are learning that they need to fight for each other and trust that their teammate is going to do their job for us to be successful,” Tongg said.

Mahin Hoque added, ” we need to trust  our teammates.”  Givanny Madott agreed, saying “we are all good, but even better with chemistry.”

We need to work on focusing during the match and building our chemistry as a team.
