WALK OFF WINNER FOR THE WOLVES

The Wolves grabbed their 4th victory this season, this one in walk-off fashion, 3-2, over the Kaiser Cats. Sophomore Miles Swan started on the bump for King Wolves. The pitcher surrendered one hit and one run (zero earned) over six innings, striking out two and walking four.
An error put Kaiser on the board in the top of the third. Cantrell singled, which helped King tie the game at one in the bottom of the third.
Kaiser took the lead in the top of the eighth. A passed ball scored one run, to give Kaiser the leg up, 2-1.
The Wolves were down 2-1 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Sophomore Cooper Cantrell singled, scoring two runs.
Senior Cory Lacher earned the win for King Wolves. The pitcher gave up one hit and one run (zero earned) over two innings, striking out one and walking none.
Cantrell not only had the winning walkoff hit, but he provided pop in the middle of the lineup and led King with three runs batted in. The catcher went 3-for-5 on the day. Junior Carlos Moreno and Cantrell each collected three hits for King. Sophomore Eli Lipson led King with two walks.
Another big week for the King Wolves in on tap with two home games against fellow RUSD schools, Ramona on Monday and Arlington on Wednesday. They then travel to Paloma Valley on Friday.
