CALHOPE COURAGE AWARD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM TO RECOGNIZE 25 CALIFORNIA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT-ATHLETES FOR OVERCOMING ADVERSITY WITH $60,000+ IN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS
High School Athletic Departments to Receive $12,500 in Donations
The CalHOPE Courage Award Scholarship Program is a new scholarship program for high-school student-athletes being presented by the California Department of Health Care Services and supported by the CIF.
We encourage all high school ADs, athletic administrators and coaches to share this exciting new program with their student-athletes and school counselors. The application is open now
and scholarships will be awarded monthly through June 2026. Honorees will earn a $2,500 scholarship, and their comeback story—whether from injury, illness, family hardship, academic pressure, or other stressors—will be shared to inspire and encourage peers facing similar challenges. As an added bonus, the athletic departments of the 25 honored students will each receive a $500 donation.
