RUDOLPH’S SCHOOL RECORD PACES KING TO A GREAT DAY

REDONDO BEACH: The Wolves put together a strong, complete day at Mustang Roundup at Trabuco Hills High, with varsity athletes stepping up across distance, sprints, relays, hurdles, and field events. The team competed with confidence all meet long and showed great range across event groups.
Distance led the way with a huge double from Maximo Zavaleta, who won the 3200 in 9:07.81 and came back to win the 1600 in 4:09.86. On the girls side, Elizabeth Jacklin had an outstanding day, placing 2nd in the 3200 (10:51.18) before winning the 1600 in 5:03.55. In the 800, Natalie Drewitz earned a 3rd-place finish in 2:17.85, and Frank Stewart added a 2nd-place finish in the boys race at 1:57.47.
The sprint and relay groups continued to produce high-level performances. The girls 4×100 delivered a strong 2nd-place finish in 47.98, and the Wolves showed great speed and composure throughout the day’s sprint events.
A major highlight came in the girls 400, where Aaliyah Rudolph finished 2nd in 56.53 and set a school record in the event.
In the field events, the Wolves were excellent. Justin Coute won both boys throws, taking 1st in Shot Put (53-9) and 1st in Discus (143-10). Bailey Mann also had a big double, finishing 2nd in Shot Put (31-2) and winning Discus (117-0). In jumps, Vanessa Hope added a 2nd-place finish in Triple Jump (37-5), and Cassandra Heston contributed another podium for the girls with a 3rd-place finish in Shot Put (29-10).
Overall, this was a true all-events team performance with podium finishes in every major area. The Wolves continue to build momentum and confidence, and this meet showed exactly the kind of depth and competitiveness the team is capable of.
