RIVERSIDE: On their home court for the first time this season, the boys basketball team rebounded from a loss two nights prior to Oak Hills, with a resounding win over Calvary Chapel High School, 62-34.
That loss to Oak Hills High was by a score of 52-75, but the play on Wednesday night at King High was much better and much more satisfying to King head coach, Darius Durham.
“We had a balanced scoring attack, tonight,” he said. Four players – Cristian Quintero, Josh Ajayi, Chukwuma Ezinwa and Mark Cadena – all shared the scoring with eaching notching double-digit scoring performances.
Ajayi had a near Double-Double with 13 points to his 9 rebounds.
“We used a great first and third quarter attack to get the win,” Durham said.
Which makes for a nice rebound after a disappointing loss.
