FULLERTON:  Finishing out the Rumble on the Hill Tournament at Troy High in Fullerton, King matched up against Glendora High.  The game was a thriller with the Wolves earning a 4 point margin of victory, 55-51.  With the win, MLK is now 3-1 on the season.

“We are learning to play through adversity, learning to play with a level head” said King head coach Darius Durham.  He was referencing the fact that his team is banged up with injuries. Only 7 members of the squad were fit to play.

They were led by another outstanding game from Chukwuma Ezinwa who scored 23 points and another 15 were added by Cristian Quintero’s fine play.

Je’Shawn McClain had two really important 3 pointers in the third quarter that seemed to be a momentum shift in the game and he added another “key basket” in the 4th quarter according to Durham.

“I’m beyond pleased with how we played coming out of timeouts,” Durham said. “Our late game execution was outstanding.”
