INGREDIENTS FOR WINNING ARE BEING ADDED

FULLERTON:  Not sure what’s better, a tasty meal on the way home or the victory on the road.  Either way, the MLK boys basketball were served up a memorable day.

Led by Chukwuma Ezinwa who had several timely steals of the ball to stop Troy High School’s offense and 27 points put in by Josh Ajayi, the Wolves cruised to a win the the Rumble on the Hill tournament, hosted by their on-court opponent, Troy High in Fullerton.  The final score was 63-49.

“We had some great bench minutes in the game from Je’Shawn McClain,” noted King’s head coach, Darius Durham.

“The boys continue to play well,” the coach added as his team moved to 2-1 on the season.  “We’re developing team chemistry.”

Such is the key ingredient to a good team and to winning.  Bonding over a post-meal game helps too.
