Contact Coach

Taking the reigns of the boys’ tennis program in 2026, when he was hired, Mr. Weng was no stranger to King Athletics as he had assisted Coach Shaun Harris for the seasons of 2023-2025 in both the boys’ and girls’ programs.

Born in Shanghai, China, Christian’s primary sport was soccer. He picked up the game at 8 and by 14 he had joined Shanghai Shenghua FC Soccer Academy and within two years had turned pro. He played for the team that competed in China’s top football league.
At 24 his professional playing days were over and he entered Shanghai University with a major in hotel management. That was the year he also transitioned from soccer to tennis.

Since 2022, Mr. Weng has been a coach for the I-Tennis Academy, an organizatio that is spread across Southern California in multiple locations.
When not coaching, Mr. Weng enjoys going to the movies, playing his guitar, camping and skateboarding.
