2024-25 Lacrosse, Boys Head Coach

Kyle Gilbert took the reigns off the boys lacrosse program in 2023 after serving as the JV head coach for the prior two years.  His coaching resume includes leading the Revolution, a club team and he was the Offensive Coordinator for King the year before assuming the Head Coach title.

In just the second year of his leadership at varsity, the team won the Division 3 CIF Championship.  It was the first ever CIF title for the Lacrosse program in just its sixth season of existence.

Gilbert grew up in Idaho and graduated from Snake River High in Blackfoot.  He played football and contributed to a State Championship in 1996.  He wrestled as well and earned an individual State Championship during his senior year after ending his junior year as the Runner Up.  His team was right there with him, earning two team State Championships and a 2nd place finish.

He wrestled for two years at BYU-Idaho and graduated with a business degree. After moving to Southern California, Kyle earned a MBA from Cal Baptist.

He’s been married to Anya since 2000 and the two have and are raising three kids, all of whom attended King High and were athletes in Lacrosse, Basketball and Volleyball.  In his spare time Kyle enjoys playing golf and hunting quail and pheasant.
