2024-25 Baseball Head Coach

Justin Solis took the helm of the boys baseball program in May of 2022. Solis is the 4th head coach in King’s history.

Solis is a math teacher on campus and was the assistant to Steve Madril at King since 2016. However, his career and experience in coaching is long and dates back to the year 2001.

With stints at Colton and Poly HS as an assistant coach, he was the head coach at Hemet West Valley HS from 2005-2008 and at Norte Vista from 2008-2016.  Along the way he has also been an assistant coach of football at Poly and Norte Vista and the head cross country coach for a season at Hemet West Valley.

Solis is a Riverside product. He graduated from JW North in 1996 where he played ball (third base and pitcher) and helped the Huskies win the 1994 CIF D2 Baseball championship. He also played football, earned a letter twice and added another CIF title to his trophy case in 1995. Solis went on to pitch for the Highlanders of UC Riverside and graduated in 2000. He would go on to earn a Masters degree in Kinesiology and Sports Management from Cal Baptist.

His coaching philosophy is simple, but profound: Coaches Coach, Boosters Boost, & Players Play. “Everyone has a role to ensure the team’s success,” he said in explaining the wisdom of that guiding ideology.

Solis has also served as President of the Inland Empire Baseball Coaches Association (IEBCA), which is an organization that promotes baseball in the Inland Empire of Southern California with an emphasis in high school baseball. IEBCA is dedicated to provide exposure to players for recruiting purposes and promoting cooperation and camaraderie within the coaching ranks.
The IEBCA is responsible for a free showcase in each Fall for uncommitted seniors and its
