RIVERSIDE: There was a canine clash in Riverside on Wednesday as the Wolves of ML King took on the Huskies of JW North. King had a hit barrage with 11 for the game all in support for the guys on the mound in what became, essentially, a bullpen game.
Miles Swan started and was followed by Sebastian Stewart (who would record the win), Joaquin Ramirez and Cory Lacher who struck out the side in the bottom of the 7th to close it out.
Earlier, Austin Acosta also struck out the side, as King put five pitchers on the mound over 7 inning to hold the Huskies at bay.
Jayden Chavez had a really good game, driving in four runs with two doubles and a homerun. Adan Diaz was 2-3, Carlos Moreno was 3-3 and Nate Lunetta had a double.
Mark Cadena hit a triple.
The Wolves are now and impressive 9-1 as they begin Big VIII League play against the highly ranked Corona Panthers on Monday at the Castle 4pm.
