Adam Christensen took on the head coaching role for Girls Flag Football in 2025. Born 1984 in Jurupa Valley, Christensen would graduate from Rubidoux High School in 2002. But uniquely, Adam started his career in the US Army on a delayed entry program a year before he graduated.
For the first 7 years in the Army he was a power generator mechanic. The remainder of the time he served as a Civil Affairs Specialist, which was a liaison between the US military and foreign governments and populations. He served in Iraq from 2005-2007, and Afghanistan from 08-09 and ended his 15 year career as a Sergeant.
Following his service, Christensen enrolled in UCR and would graduate in 2018 and by 2019 had been hired at King High to teach Physics, Chemistry and Engineering. His coaching background began in 2021 as an assistant coach for the King basketball program before taking on the head coaching duties for boys freshman basketball in 2024. During the 2024 season of Flag, Adam was an assistant coach.
Adam enjoy Astronomy and photography in his free time. Combining the two, he views planets, nebulae, and the moon with telescopes then snaps pictures for of the celestial bodies. His passion has lead him to lead an astronomy club for interested students on campus.
