Darius Durham’s basketball team started their tour through the Big 8 this week and unfortunately drew the powerful Roosevelt team as their opener. Roosevelt dominated and won on Wednesday night, though Durham was pleased with the fight his team put up.

On Friday the Wolves hosted Corona High, but they started slowly and had some foul trouble throughout.  However, the team was led by Josh Ajayi and Cayden Tillman, the latter of whom had a career high 16 points on the game.

For Durham, the 62-53 victory was his first in the Big 8 as head coach.

“We got our first league win of the year and pushed through. Very satisfied,” Durham said after the game.

King is now 17-7 on the season and 1-1 in the Big 8
